Meet Julie

A little about me

I know what it feels like to need help in the middle of the night and have no one to call.

I’m a Colorado native who spent my twenties and early thirties on the East Coast — far from family, far from my roots, and eventually, far from sleep.

I had three sons without a village nearby. My husband, bless him, could sleep through a train crash (and a newborn baby crying!). Paternity leave was laughably short. Breastfeeding was hard. The nights were long. And I did it alone, in the dark, wishing desperately that someone would just come and take the baby for a few hours so I could be a person again.

That experience is why I do this work.

I returned to Colorado 12 years ago and eventually found my way to postpartum doula work — because I lived the need for this role. When I support a new mom through the night, I’m not reading from a textbook. I’m drawing on years of feeding babies at 2am, soothing a baby who won’t settle, and knowing exactly what a mother needs to hear (and what she doesn’t) when she’s running on empty.

I’m a certified postpartum doula through CAPPA, based in Parker, and I serve the South Denver Metro area — the communities I know, love, and am proud to call home.

You deserve rest. Let me help you get it.

The Details

Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy

Schedule & Minimums

I require a minimum of 3 nights per week for 6 weeks, offered Sunday through Thursday. This gives your body enough consecutive rest to truly recover, and gives your baby enough consistency to start settling into a rhythm. Friday and Saturday support may be available upon request for an additional charge.

Booking

Because my calendar fills quickly, I recommend booking as early in your pregnancy as possible. A non-refundable $350 deposit reserves your spot and is applied toward the cost of your care. Your dates are not held until the deposit is received, so the sooner you reach out, the better the chance I can be there for the nights you need.

Cancellation

Life with a newborn is unpredictable, and I’ll always do my best to work with you. The $350 booking deposit is non-refundable. Once care has begun, I ask for at least 14 days’ written notice to cancel or end your remaining scheduled nights. Individual nights canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice are billed in full, as that time has been reserved exclusively for your family. Any nights I am unable to attend are never charged and will be rescheduled whenever possible.

Travel Fee

Families located more than 30 minutes from Parker are subject to a $50 travel fee per visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you want to know.

What exactly does an overnight doula do?

I arrive in the evening and care for your baby through the night while you sleep. That means handling feedings (bringing your baby to you to nurse and settling them after, or taking care of bottles start to finish), diaper changes, soothing, and gently settling your baby back to sleep. I also take care of baby-related tasks like washing and prepping bottles and tidying the nursery. In the morning I leave you a log of how your baby ate and slept, so you wake up rested and informed.

Do I have to be breastfeeding to use your services?

Not at all. I support families feeding however works best for them — breastfeeding, pumping, formula, or any combination of the three. If you’re nursing, I’ll bring your baby to you for feeds and handle the settling afterward so you can get right back to sleep. If you’re bottle-feeding, I’ll take care of the entire feeding so you can rest straight through the night. No judgment here — only support for the choices that are right for your family.

What’s the minimum commitment?

I require a minimum of 3 nights per week for 6 weeks, offered Sunday through Thursday. This gives your body enough consecutive rest to truly recover, and gives your baby enough consistency to start settling into a rhythm. Friday and Saturday support may be available upon request for an additional charge.

When should I book?

As early as possible during your pregnancy — my calendar fills quickly. Your $350 booking deposit holds your spot.

Are you a nurse or medical professional?

No. I’m a certified postpartum doula through CAPPA, not a nurse or medical provider. My role is non-medical: newborn care, feeding support, soothing, and helping you rest and recover. I don’t diagnose or treat medical concerns — but I do know the signs worth watching for, and if something comes up that needs clinical care, I’ll encourage you to reach out to your pediatrician, OB, or an IBCLC and help you feel confident about when to make that call.

What areas do you serve?

Parker, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial, Aurora, Elizabeth, Franktown, and the surrounding South Denver Metro communities. Not sure whether you’re in range? Reach out and just ask — I’m happy to let you know.

What if my baby arrives early or plans change?

Babies rarely read the calendar, and I plan for exactly that. Once you’ve booked, we’ll stay in close touch as your due date approaches, and I’ll do my best to flex with an early — or late — arrival. If your dates or needs shift, we’ll adjust your start together. Your booking deposit holds your place, and we’ll finalize the exact nights as your little one’s arrival gets closer.
